Ironically, last blog described precisely how Girard depicts “conflictual mimesis”.  The rivalry itself becomes the “object that brings all into relation”.

Yet, from all appearances, the rivalry has no content.  The fight is over Nothing.

Thus, mimesisconstrained becomes mimesisunconstrained.
