{"id":950,"date":"2014-01-17T03:03:15","date_gmt":"2014-01-17T03:03:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/raziemah.com\/blog\/?p=950"},"modified":"2014-10-07T23:01:31","modified_gmt":"2014-10-07T23:01:31","slug":"thoughts-on-man-and-sin-by-piet-schoonenberg-1964-1-2r3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/?p=950","title":{"rendered":"Thoughts on Man and Sin by Piet Schoonenberg (1964) 1.2R3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[In order to gain insight into lasting sin, one can guess &#8220;what is impossible &#8220;.\u00a0 &#8220;What is impossible&#8221; forms the unbridgable gap between law<sup>denial<\/sup> and law<sup>acceptance<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>For the Jewish establishment at the time of Jesus, I suppose the impossible relation concerned \u201cpurity\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>To the Pharisees, Sadducees and Scribes, the common folk could never be pure.\u00a0 It was impossible.\u00a0 The Pharisees had a relation of impossibility between {denying the consequences of their actions, through diverse explanations, including a defense of themselves the only practitioners of think<sup>pure<\/sup>} and {accepting the consequences of their actions and attitudes, including their projection of think<sup>impure <\/sup>onto others}.<\/p>\n<p>The Pharisees concluded that a filthy carpenter from Nazareth (yes, the one complaining about the consequences of their actions and attitudes, which were all false allegations, because after all, only they knew how to properly keep the hundreds of ritual obligations of the Law) could not possibly be correct.\u00a0 He had to be some sort of devil (projected think<sup>impure<\/sup>).<\/p>\n<p>The only moral religious perspective where \u201claw<sup>essential<\/sup> is not denied\u201d corresponds to think<sup>divine<\/sup>. \u00a0\u00a0Law<sup>acceptance<\/sup> and think<sup>divine<\/sup>, then, stand in mutual confirmation.]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[In order to gain insight into lasting sin, one can guess &#8220;what is impossible &#8220;.\u00a0 &#8220;What is impossible&#8221; forms the unbridgable gap between lawdenial and lawacceptance.
