Success<sub>2c<\/sub>&nbsp;leads to actions that set the stage for normal people asking, &#8220;What is happening?<sub>3a<\/sub>&#8221; in regards to the possibility that &#8216;something&#8217; is happening<sub>1a<\/sub>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>Success<sub>2c<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;opens&nbsp;<em>a cognitive space<sub>2a<\/sub>&nbsp;that is observed and measured<sub>1b<\/sub>&nbsp;by experts<sub>3b<\/sub>&nbsp;in the psychometric sciences of marketing and advocacy<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0123 As an aside, I ask, &#8220;Does&nbsp;<em>the one of scientism<sub>3c<\/sub><\/em><sub>&nbsp;<\/sub>care whether&nbsp;<em>its judgment<sub>2c<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;leads to human flourishing or immolation?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I don&#8217;t think so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If &#8220;trust the science&#8221; means &#8220;trusting the judgment of the Queen Bee&#8221;, then I definitely don&#8217;t think so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0124 Okay, instead of that&nbsp;<em>distraction about a gift,<\/em>&nbsp;let me blunder forward with another aside, this time asking, &#8220;How does&nbsp;<em>an empirio-normative judgment<sub>2c<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;serve as an interventional sign-vehicle (SV<sub>i<\/sub>) whose sign-object is&nbsp;<em>what people think is happening<sub>2a<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;(SO<sub>i<\/sub>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The question, &#8220;What is happening?&#8221;, appeals to the intellect<sub>3a<\/sub>.&nbsp;&nbsp;The intellect<sub>3a<\/sub>&nbsp;associates to the interventional sign-interpretant (SI<sub>i<\/sub>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The issue of &#8216;something&#8217;
