(Part 6 of 22)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>0444 So, is&nbsp;<em>the era of individual intentionality<\/em>&nbsp;truly Machiavellian?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No, the adjective, &#8220;Machiavellian&#8221;, does not qualify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For one, Machiavelli writes in&nbsp;<em>our current Lebenswelt<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For two, the previous blog shows me that&nbsp;<em>the behavioral and cognitive traits of the era of individual intentionality,<\/em>&nbsp;when transubstantiated in&nbsp;<em>our current Lebenswelt<\/em>&nbsp;through&nbsp;<em>a late-modern critique of power<sub>2H<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;<em>and affiliation<sub>2V<\/sub><\/em>, recast these terms into&nbsp;<em>awareness<sub>2H<\/sub>&nbsp;<\/em>and&nbsp;<em>tribalism<sub>2V<\/sub><\/em>, thereby reallocating&nbsp;<em>the two pillars of human morality<\/em>&nbsp;(as noted by early-modern philosopher, David Hume), fairness<sub>1V<\/sub>&nbsp;and justice<sub>1H<\/sub>, into the expert-defined possibilities of alienation<sub>1V<\/sub>&nbsp;and resentment<sub>1H<\/sub>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0445 &#8220;Reallocate&#8221;?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, that is&nbsp;<em>what postmodern theorists mandate the state to do<\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;Reallocate&nbsp;<em>cooperation<sub>1b<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;from&nbsp;<em>historical foundations<sub>1a<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<em>late-modern, theoretically defined foundations<sub>1a<\/sub><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0446 Hmmm.&nbsp;&nbsp;That makes me wonder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Where do&nbsp;<em>Hume&#8217;s two pillars<\/em>&nbsp;appear in&nbsp;<em>the following intersection,<\/em>&nbsp;applying to&nbsp;<em>the era of individual intentionality?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Slide18-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Slide18-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7383\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Slide18-1.png 600w, https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Slide18-1-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>0447 To me,&nbsp;<em>&#8216;justice&#8217;<\/em>&nbsp;associates to&nbsp;<em>&#8216;one&#8217;s kin as well as one&#8217;s hierarchical status&#8217;<sub>1H<\/sub><\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;What?&nbsp;&nbsp;Is that not&nbsp;<em>a selection pressure identified by evolutionary anthropologists?<\/em>&nbsp;&nbsp;Yes, it is.&nbsp;&nbsp;Note how well this selection pressure fits into the slot<sub>1H<\/sub>otherwise labeled, &#8220;potential of place in hierarchy<sub>1H<\/sub>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also,&nbsp;<em>&#8216;fairness&#8217;&nbsp;<\/em>associates to&nbsp;<em>&#8216;mutualism and reciprocity&#8217;<sub>1V<\/sub><\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;Yes, that is another&nbsp;<em>selection pressure identified by evolutionary anthropologists<\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;Note how well this selection pressure fits into the slot<sub>1V<\/sub>&nbsp;otherwise labeled, &#8220;potential of having others on my side<sub>1V<\/sub>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0448 What does this imply?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Justice<sub>1H<\/sub>&#8221;
