{"id":5914,"date":"2022-12-05T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-12-05T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/?p=5914"},"modified":"2023-07-22T14:56:30","modified_gmt":"2023-07-22T14:56:30","slug":"a-primer-for-how-to-define-the-word-religion-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/?p=5914","title":{"rendered":"Looking at Razie Mah&#8217;s\u00a0\u00a0(2015) A Primer on Another Infrasovereign Religion\u00a0\u00a0(Part 22 of 24)\ufffc"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>0148 Can a sovereign<sub>3bC<\/sub>&nbsp;keep a lid on two opposing factions<sub>3aC<\/sub>&nbsp;and, in the process, continually gain legal authority<sub>2bC<\/sub>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or, does another dynamic enter into the play?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0149 Enter the classical political philosopher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like Socrates, the classical political philosopher is a journalist.&nbsp;&nbsp;Not the propaganda variety of journalist.&nbsp;&nbsp;But, the curious variety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0150 In this instance, the classical political philosopher asks people their opinions and notes that they fall into two camps.&nbsp;&nbsp;One camp calls members of the second camp, &#8220;evil&#8221;.&nbsp;&nbsp;The second camp labels members of the first camp, &#8220;stupid&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first camp<sub>3aC<\/sub>\u00a0has a rhetorical excuse for the unintended consequences of their organizational objectives<sub>2aC<\/sub>.\u00a0\u00a0They cover up their policy failures by blaming the second camp, who acknowledges the unintended consequences (of the first camp) and say that they are no good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second camp<sub>3aC<\/sub>\u00a0learns to ignore rhetorical abuse<sub>1aC<\/sub>\u00a0(by the first camp) and attempts to protect itself from the material consequences of the first&#8217;s implemented policies<sub>2aC<\/sub>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like Aristotle, the classical political philosopher in an anthropologist, who observes the organizational<sub>B<\/sub>\u00a0realities associated to each camp<sub>3aC<\/sub>, then reaches\u00a0<em>the conclusion that the opposed parties<sub>3aC<\/sub>\u00a0agree to a single assumption<sub>2cC<\/sub><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plus, that assumption is wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0151 The assumption is not that the second camp is evil because it says that\u00a0<em>unintended consequences<sub>2aC<\/sub><\/em>\u00a0are bad, and therefore (according to the first camp) the second camp must be responsible for\u00a0<em>awareness that the unintended consequences are bad<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The assumption is not that the first camp is stupid because it blames the unintended consequences of their policies on the second camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The assumption is that&#8230; aargh!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both parties are attacking the poor political philosopher!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0152 Christian humanist, Rene Girard, identifies this dynamic.&nbsp;&nbsp;He studies the literature of many civilizations.&nbsp;&nbsp;Stories portray&nbsp;<em>the dynamics of mimetic contagion<\/em>&nbsp;over and over again.&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>Mimetic contagion<\/em>&nbsp;is found in every period of every civilization.&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>Mimetic contagion<\/em>&nbsp;is a property of&nbsp;<em>our current Lebenswelt<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is&nbsp;<em>another word for this dynamic?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scapegoating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0153 Scapegoating occurs when the reigning order<sub>1bC<\/sub>&nbsp;gets into trouble.&nbsp;&nbsp;Scapegoating preserves&nbsp;<em>a unity residing above the reigning order<sub>1cC<\/sub><\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;Scapegoating renews&nbsp;<em>the object that brings us all into relation&#8230; er&#8230; conflict<sub>2cC<\/sub>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The object that brings all into relation<sub>2cC<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;is really&nbsp;<em>an object that brings us all into conflict<sub>2cC<\/sub><\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;That is why the actuality<sub>2<\/sub>of the perspective<sub>c<\/sub>&nbsp;level of the society<sub>C<\/sub>&nbsp;tier is occluded.&nbsp;&nbsp;No one can say&nbsp;<em>what it<sub>2cC<\/sub>&nbsp;is<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Until God intervenes and reveals the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0154 The Father sends His Son into the world, in order to establish a kingdom, above the sovereign.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Father, Son and Holy Spirit<sub>2cC<\/sub>&nbsp;bring all into relation.
