0107 Is our current Lebenswelt<\/em> a way to envision the Garden of Eden?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If so, then humans in the Lebenswelt that we evolved in,<\/em> created as the image of God<\/em>, associate to a reification, the Tree of Life<\/em>.  The tree of life<\/em> is rooted in our evolved relationality<\/em>.  The tree of life<\/em> branches out in cultural practices that maximize the fruits of our evolved relationality<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

0108 The term,\u00a0image of God,<\/em>\u00a0offers a vision, where worship conjoins life.\u00a0\u00a0Yet, our ancestors could not picture or point either “image” or “God” with hand talk.\u00a0\u00a0Just as birds fly, without intellectual awareness of\u00a0the abstraction of flight,<\/em> hominins talk to one another with manual-brachial gestures, without intellectual awareness of\u00a0the abstractions that can be drawn from their discourse<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0Hand talk does not permit explicit abstraction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

0109 The term, the tree of life,<\/em> is an abstraction.  The meaning, presence and message that we project into the term, the tree of life,<\/em> produces an artifact that validates our projection<\/em>.  The tree of life<\/em> is a symbol that validates the word-symbols that compose the term<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

0110 How do we define3<\/sub> the tree of life2<\/sub>?<\/em>  What meaning, presence and message1<\/sub><\/em> do we project into the actuality of the term2<\/sub>?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the epic of Gilgamesh, the reader finds one definition.  Gilgamesh obtains, then loses, a plant that confers immortality<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Genesis 3:22, the reader finds the a similar rendering, uttered by the Lord God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tree of life<\/em> confers immortality,<\/em> by definition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

0111 But, does this definition<\/em> represent a projection that reinforces an artifact <\/em>(a particular interpretation) that validates an abstraction inherent in the spoken term, “the tree of life”?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This circularity is characteristic of spoken words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Does the tree of life<\/em> confer immortality because it is composed of the spoken words, “tree” and “life”?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

0111 It makes me wonder about the term, “immortality”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immortality is just a word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Immortality” is also an abstraction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can one die and still remain alive?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
