Action&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Haarsma asks (more or less), &#8220;If the scientific evidence for human evolution is correct, then what does that imply about God&#8217;s action in intending, creating and blessing humans?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I expand the query, asking, &#8220;If the scientific evidence for evolution is correct, then what does that imply about God&#8217;s creative action depicted in the first chapter of Genesis?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0062 Obviously, the scientific evidence implies that God&#8217;s action in creating the world and humans is irrelevant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Haarsma labels this situation, &#8220;dissonance&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0063 Indeed, dissonance characterizes intersections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I start with&nbsp;<em>the evolution of the planet and life<sub>2H<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>the Creation Story<sub>2V<\/sub><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The single actuality is&nbsp;<em>the world<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The world<\/em>&nbsp;includes&nbsp;<em>the Lebenswelt that we evolved in<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Slide16-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Slide16-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5664\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Slide16-2.png 600w, https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Slide16-2-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><figcaption>Figure 16<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>This intersection between evolution<sub>2H<\/sub>&nbsp;and Genesis 1<sub>2V<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;is packed with&nbsp;<em>accidental and essential contradictions<\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;Theologians are capable of distinguishing essential from accidental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, one essential contradiction is this: Each narrative presents a sequence of events in the realization of our world.&nbsp;&nbsp;But, each sequence is unique.&nbsp;&nbsp;How can a Genesis day be the same as an evolutionary epoch?&nbsp;&nbsp;Yet, the two sequences are drawn into a single actuality.&nbsp;&nbsp;They are stuck together in a mystery.&nbsp;&nbsp;I call that mystery, &#8220;the world&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0064 Plus, there is a world within the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Genesis 1:26-31 portrays&nbsp;<em>the intending, the creating, the blessing<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>the feeding of humans<\/em>&nbsp;as well as&nbsp;<em>the animals that humans keep<\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;This implies that human evolution actually associates to&nbsp;<em>our world,<\/em>&nbsp;rather than&nbsp;<em>our current Lebenswelt<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If I consider&nbsp;<em>the intersection of all of evolution<sub>2H<\/sub>&nbsp;and the Genesis Creation Story<sub>2V<\/sub>,<\/em>&nbsp;I arrive at configuration similar to&nbsp;<em>the intersection of human evolution<sub>2H<\/sub>&nbsp;and Genesis 1:26-31<sub>2V<\/sub><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The single actuality is&nbsp;<em>the Lebenswelt that we evolved in<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Slide17-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Slide17-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5665\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Slide17-2.png 600w, https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Slide17-2-300x200.png 300w\" to&nbsp;<em>a twist in long-established trends in human evolution<sub>2H<\/sub><\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;Since this twist<sub>2H<\/sub>&nbsp;does not immediately alter prehistoric natural history or human genetics, the twist must be&nbsp;<em>a cultural adaptation<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The single actuality is&nbsp;<em>our current Lebenswelt<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image intersections speak to us of mystery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A mystery contains irreconcilable contradictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0068 One task of the theologian is to separate the accidental and the essential contradictions, in order to clarify the mystery.&nbsp;&nbsp;This is hard work.&nbsp;&nbsp;A mystery cannot be fully explained, partially explained or declared unexplainable.&nbsp;&nbsp;A mystery Construction<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0069 A mystery provides a message.&nbsp;&nbsp;The message is clear.&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>A single realness<\/em>&nbsp;coalesces from&nbsp;<em>two disparate actualities<\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;The two nested forms are bound.&nbsp;&nbsp;In this message of unity, the normal contexts and the potentials cannot be regarded as fully independent.&nbsp;<em>Two nested
