{"id":464,"date":"2013-06-20T03:25:55","date_gmt":"2013-06-20T03:25:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/75.103.96.165\/blog\/?p=464"},"modified":"2014-10-07T23:02:22","modified_gmt":"2014-10-07T23:02:22","slug":"thoughts-on-sin-by-ted-peters-1994-cruelty-7b","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/?p=464","title":{"rendered":"Thoughts on Sin by Ted Peters (1994) Cruelty 7B"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>How do describe cruelty?<\/p>\n<p>Peters started with childhood memories of little cruelties committed by children \u201cjust because they could\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He continued by envisioning the many cruelties committed in history.\u00a0 The primordial image of \u201cthe wolf\u201d raises its head here.\u00a0 Who is afraid of the big bad Wolf?\u00a0 And weirdly, biological observations of wolf behavior occasionally confirm the intuition of the folklore.\u00a0 Talking to them is useless.<\/p>\n<p>Peters moved on to specific cases of torture.<\/p>\n<p>In all his examples, individuals act as instruments of a Political Power while inflicting cruelty.<\/p>\n<p>Peters pointed out that the cruel person has two faces: The face of the one who tortures others and the face of the regular family person, living an upstanding life, who is just like you and me.\u00a0 He called it \u201cdoubling\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDoubling\u201d may be defined as \u201cthe wolf putting on sheep\u2019s clothing\u201d.\u00a0 The person in sheep\u2019s clothing talks a shifty technical vocabulary that masks the wolf\u2019s predatory procedures.<\/p>\n<p>In the same way, dictators \u201chold elections\u201d in order to \u201cappear legitimate\u201d.\u00a0 The whole charade is bogus.\u00a0 The words are changed in order to advance the Powerful.<\/p>\n<p>Once every word has been \u201credefined\u201d by the \u201cPowers That Be\u201d, cruelty becomes the social norm.<\/p>\n<p>The same ploy is evident in people diagnosed with Antisocial Personality Disorder.\u00a0 These people can act with exceptional cruelty.\u00a0 At the same time, they can manipulate words in order to seem perfectly normal.\u00a0 They will not play by the rules.\u00a0 Instead, they create the rules as they go along.\u00a0 They are wolves in sheep\u2019s clothing.<\/p>\n<p>Beware of the Apparently Normal Person who manipulates Words for the Advancement of the Powers that Be.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How do describe cruelty?
