Pelagius was addicted to \u201cbeing regarded as perfect\u201d.\u00a0 What British monk wouldn\u2019t be, given enough adoration?\u00a0 Pelagius was a \u201ccelebrity\u201d.\u00a0 He knew all the right people.\u00a0 He said all the right things.\u00a0 But unlike Augustine, whose celebrity was originally founded on his potency rather than potential, Pelagius never repented.\u00a0 He was fully justified; I mean, self-justified.<\/p>\n
