{"id":355,"date":"2013-04-12T01:51:36","date_gmt":"2013-04-12T01:51:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/75.103.96.165\/blog\/?p=355"},"modified":"2014-10-07T23:02:38","modified_gmt":"2014-10-07T23:02:38","slug":"thoughts-on-sin-by-ted-peters-1994-unfaith-3n","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/?p=355","title":{"rendered":"Thoughts on Sin by Ted Peters (1994) Unfaith 3N"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The deductions that follow from the model of humans as mind(body(self)) constitute a significant component of the cryptotheology of Progressivism.<\/p>\n<p>I mention only a few examples.<\/p>\n<p>Progressive \u201cself-esteem\u201d demands \u201cfreedom to\u201d rather than \u201cfreedom from\u201d (which follows the classical liberal definition of \u201cfreedom\u201d as basically, \u201cfreedom from (state) coercion\u201d).\u00a0 These \u201cfreedom to\u201ds require the exercise of sovereign power in order to establish the end result (the \u201cto\u201d that \u201canyone with a mind\u201d esteems).\u00a0 This justifies \u201caffirmative action\u201d in hiring as well as court orders for \u201cgay marriage\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Progressive \u201cself-esteem\u201d may demand experts that establish \u201cwhat constitutes esteem\u201d. \u00a0These experts suggest criteria expressing \u201cwhat constitutes esteem\u201d such as \u201cfairness\u201d (progressive tax rate), \u201cequality\u201d (see next example), \u201csafety\u201d (elimination of all danger), \u201copportunity\u201d (determination of career options by the state) and so on.<\/p>\n<p>If someone questions these experts, that person is \u201cless than human\u201d because \u201cshe threatens to diminish someone\u2019s self-esteem\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The deductions that follow from the model of humans as mind(body(self)) constitute a significant component of the cryptotheology of Progressivism.
