{"id":348,"date":"2013-04-09T01:49:04","date_gmt":"2013-04-09T01:49:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/75.103.96.165\/blog\/?p=348"},"modified":"2014-10-07T23:02:38","modified_gmt":"2014-10-07T23:02:38","slug":"thoughts-on-sin-by-ted-peters-1994-unfaith-3k","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/?p=348","title":{"rendered":"Thoughts on Sin by Ted Peters (1994) Unfaith 3K"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Progressive principle of \u201cself\u201d that binds soul to body and establishes the person\u2019s orientation towards \u201cself-esteem\u201d would be, according to my previous nomenclature, \u201cfaith<sup>Progressive<\/sup>\u201d as a species of \u201cfaith<sup>Christian<\/sup>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The fact that Peters could not identify the \u201cunfaith\u201d of the public Progressive Movement (which, by 1994, dominated politics in California) underscores several important points.<\/p>\n<p>First, his treatment of sin, in <em>Sin: Radical Evil in Soul and Society,<\/em> was limited to a narrow definition of \u201cradical evil\u201d as \u201can individual\u2019s conscious awareness of intent and form in the harming of others\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Second, this narrowness was a consequence of his focus on Satanism as the \u201cdark magic\u201d complement to the \u201clight magic\u201d of the New Age Movement (which has been a popular topic since the 1970s and was the subject of a prior book).<\/p>\n<p>Third, the Progressive Movement\u2019s denial that it was a \u201creligion\u201d constituted an effective deterrent (maybe, provided a convenient excuse) against examining sovereign policies as \u201cevil\u201d or \u201csin\u201d.\u00a0 After all, Progressive Institutions have produced more systematic harm than any of the criminals that Peters mentioned.\u00a0 In fact, in 2012, they are just getting started.<\/p>\n<p>Simply put, the Public Cult of Progressivism that grew alongside the private cults of the New Age Movement was simply \u201cinvisible\u201d by definition.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth, if Peters had examined the Public Cult of Progressivism as \u201creligion\u201d, he would have been in deep trouble.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegulatory capture\u201d entails infiltrating and controlling sovereign (or \u201cstate\u201d) institutions.\u00a0 In 1994, Progressives were well on their way in the State of California, especially in the legislature, the various media, and in education.<\/p>\n<p>If Peters had extended his treatment to the Public Cult, he would have injured someone\u2019s \u201cself-esteem\u201d.\u00a0 Then, the lemmings would have had an excuse to eat him alive.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Progressive principle of \u201cself\u201d that binds soul to body and establishes the person\u2019s orientation towards \u201cself-esteem\u201d would be, according to my previous nomenclature, \u201cfaithProgressive\u201d as a species of \u201cfaithChristian\u201d.
