The fancy word for this state is \u2018concupiscence\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>For Schoonenberg&#8217;s speculation, \u2018flesh and reason\u2019 are distinct but inseparable. Both are different from \u2018spirit\u2019. Both \u2018flesh and reason\u2019 are subject to concupiscence.
