{"id":204,"date":"2013-03-07T01:42:32","date_gmt":"2013-03-07T01:42:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/75.103.96.165\/blog\/?p=204"},"modified":"2014-10-07T23:02:55","modified_gmt":"2014-10-07T23:02:55","slug":"thoughts-on-original-sin-by-tatha-wiley-2002-8h","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/?p=204","title":{"rendered":"Thoughts on Original Sin by Tatha Wiley (2002) 8H"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The unintended consequences of stupid humans are evil.\u00a0 Normal humans are destructive automatons.\u00a0 Consequently, the Progressive Intellectual is justified in <em>making their decisions for them<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>This is the Progressive Doctrine of Justification by Education Alone.<\/p>\n<p>The command (transcendental norm, Judeo-Christian, for superstitious normal folk) \u201cbe holy, loving and responsible\u201d transforms into \u201cbe enlightened\u201d for the intellectual power broker and \u201cconform\u201d for the normal bloke.<\/p>\n<p>For the existential possibility that is situated by decisions, formerly \u201cthe project of self-transcendence\u201d, a variety of projects have been entertained, the most mind-boggling being \u201cthe project of social justice\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cproject of social justice\u201d embraces those with a desire to control others but cannot supersize their intellects.\u00a0 This is where the Progressive saints come in.<\/p>\n<p>The Progressive camp also contains the supermoral (example, the ones who insist on \u201cfairness\u201d and \u201cjustice\u201d, such as Nobel-Prize winner Jimmy Carter), the superreligious (example, the ones who deceive in order to further the cause, such as Nobel-Prize winner Paul Krugman), plus innumerable wannabes as well as cynical players who benefit from the implementation of Progressive (sovereign) programs.<\/p>\n<p>In this fashion, Lonergan\u2019s methodological theology may by applied to the symbolic order now (2012) constituting itself as a social construction outside the symbolic orders of the Founding Documents (&amp; the free market) and of Christianity.<\/p>\n<p>In this wide-ranging applicability, Lonergan\u2019s methodological theology is truly modern, that is, scientific.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The unintended consequences of stupid humans are evil.\u00a0 Normal humans are destructive automatons.\u00a0 Consequently, the Progressive Intellectual is justified in making their decisions for them.
