An Archaeology<\/i> proposes that, 7800 years ago, humans began to change the way they talked, from hand-speech talk to speech alone talk, and the difference in semiotic qualities potentiated unconstrained complexity; that is, civilization.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe world that we evolved in\u201d is not the same as \u201cthe world that we live in\u201d.<\/p>\n
The world of constrained complexity is not the same as the world of unconstrained complexity.<\/p>\n
Girard\u2019s concept of mimetic rivalry pertains to our current Lebenswelt of unconstrained complexity.\u00a0 Literature is full of it.\u00a0 As we all know, or at least, as Girard convincingly argues, (what we once called) \u201cliterature\u201d provides greater insight into the workings of the human mind than what we call \u201csocial science\u201d.<\/p>\n
