Thus, doxological acclamations that once extolled the king\u2019s sublime body<\/em> now acclaim whatever money can buy<\/em>.  Plus, the most sublime commodity<\/em> (and the one with the highest price) comes with an institutional message<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This commodity-associated message,<\/em> in turn, invigorates the passive soul (which, impossibly, cannot be trusted on its own).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The message<\/em> gives the passive soul identity<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

0527 How can the passive soul be declared impossible?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isn\u2019t the passive soul the organ that responds to motion?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

0528 Thomas Hobbes formulated one answer in the Leviathan<\/em>, published when early modern mercantilism <\/em>was replacing the late medieval theology of the dual body of the king<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hobbes claimed that the passive soul could only properly respond to physical motion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Physical motion leads to sensible reckoning.  Immaterial motion, the very stuff that Santner isolates, produces phantasms that are not sensible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The passive soul should respond to physical motion, but not immaterial motion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This explains why the lacking in the passive soul<\/em> replaces the inoperative active soul<\/em> in the content-level actuality2aB<\/sub> of the organization tier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

0529 Ironically, in evolutionary history, the human passive soul evolved to sense the immaterial (or relational) aspects of a situation<\/em>.  Humans are attuned to relationships.  We intuitively feel changes in relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Humans focus on the hidden causes accounting for observed events.  Humans sense more than what is apparent to a disinterested observer<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An institutional message descends, like a golden egg from a fabled goose, with every purchase.  A purpose-filled abstract material<\/em> enters the emptiness of the secular soul<\/em>, providing it with purpose and identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The blind<\/em> acquire eyes to see<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The immanence of the organization tier<\/em> has become transcendent<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
