{"id":1051,"date":"2014-02-25T01:30:55","date_gmt":"2014-02-25T01:30:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/raziemah.com\/blog\/?p=1051"},"modified":"2014-10-07T23:01:17","modified_gmt":"2014-10-07T23:01:17","slug":"man-and-sin-by-piet-schoonenberg-1964-1-3n1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/?p=1051","title":{"rendered":"Man and Sin by Piet Schoonenberg (1964) 1.3N1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Summary of text [comment] page 19<\/p>\n<p>[The nextquestion is: Has a God who Judges been revealed?<\/p>\n<p>Schoonenberg presumes so. \u00a0\u00a0Let us take a look at his presumption from the perspective of Peirce\u2019s categories (er, my view of that perspective).<\/p>\n<p>Think about Jesus, &#8220;the One God Recognizes as Himself&#8221;, being miraculously conceived, then born as a human, from this apparently random woman.\u00a0 Could God provide a more realistic and more fantastic image of our own \u201ccoming into being\u201d from the realm of possibility?\u00a0 Here we are.\u00a0 Our own actuality is only reason why we do not recognize that each and every one of us is impossible.\u00a0 Was Jesus any more impossible?<\/p>\n<p>Jesus, like any one of us, had a conscience<sup>specified<\/sup><sub>1<\/sub> and dispositions<sub>1<\/sub>.\u00a0 Somehow, as he developed he knew that the Father Recognized Him.\u00a0 In that Recognition, his soul occupied the same position as our souls after death.\u00a0 The Person of Jesus, in a sense, accepted the mantle of our \u201cwaiting to be Recognized, and with that Recognition, Judged\u201d simply because He was \u201cthe One the Father Recognized\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The One Who Recognizes<sub>2<\/sub>&#8221; and &#8220;the One Who is Recognized<sub>2<\/sub>&#8221; both belong to the realm of actuality.\u00a0 What happened when it became more and more apparent that the Father recognized His Son?\u00a0 Everyone was repelled in horror and drawn forward in fascination.<\/p>\n<p>On the one hand, every think<sup>group<\/sup> was revealed for what it would lead to: a mess of porridge cooked from human flesh.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, we saw an image of think<sup>divine<\/sup> that we could not even come close to comprehending.\u00a0 All humanity has been drawn into the theological drama, the Theodrama, of God\u2019s Self Recognition.]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summary of text [comment] page 19 [The nextquestion is: Has a God who Judges been revealed?
