Walton&#8217;s Book (2025) &#8220;New Explorations in the Lost World of Genesis&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0(Part 20 of 20)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>0218 Chapters seven and eight cover&nbsp;<em>the Fall<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>God&#8217;s pronouncements in Genesis 3<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are more results of Walton&#8217;s scientific explorations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I leave the application of hylomorphe, entanglement, confounding and resolution to the reader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0219 Recall, a scientific paper contains five elements: introduction, methodology, results, discussion and conclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So does Walton&#8217;s book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0220 Chapter nine offers a discussion on Genesis and science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At no point in the discussion does Dr. Walton touch base with the following hylomorphes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide57-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide57-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10418\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide57-1.png 600w, https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide57-1-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>0221 In regards to the Creation Story, Razie Mah&#8217;s&nbsp;<em>Looking at Hugh Ross&#8217;s Book (2023) &#8220;Rescuing Inerrancy&#8221;<\/em>&nbsp;reviews&nbsp;<em>what Walton is trying to avoid<\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;Walton imagines that the entanglement of a moderate or an artistic concordism will turn out to be&#8230; um&#8230; dangerous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Didn&#8217;t I say that confoundings are dangerous?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hugh Ross&#8217;s version of moderate concordism cannot rescue the doctrine of biblical inerrancy, because it offers only a miraculous coincidence between&nbsp;<em>what the Genesis text for each day appears to be describin<\/em>g and&nbsp;<em>a corresponding evolutionary epoch<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Razie Mah&#8217;s version of artistic concordism changes&nbsp;<em>the character of the doctrine of biblical inerrancy,<\/em>&nbsp;because it offers&nbsp;<em>a method<\/em>&nbsp;for showing that&nbsp;<em>each Genesis day<\/em>&nbsp;offers&nbsp;<em>natural signs<\/em>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<em>a corresponding epoch<\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;There are three types of natural signs: icons, indexes and symbols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0222 If the Bible is supposed to be plainly read, then why would an author write&nbsp;<em>the Creation Story<\/em>&nbsp;as&nbsp;<em>a vision that depicts the evolution of the Earth on the basis of natural signs?<\/em>&nbsp;&nbsp;The author could not possibly had known the natural history of the Earth, unless having been presented with&nbsp;<em>a series of visions<\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>The text<\/em>&nbsp;breaks down into&nbsp;<em>natural signs<\/em>bundled for each day, as&nbsp;<em>images, indicators and symbols<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0223 It is enough to make John H.
