0138 Overall, when Walton adds the cultural river<\/em> to revealed matter<\/em> in his Lost World interpretation of the Genesis text,<\/em> he ends up with a human “thing”<\/em> composed of the hylomorphe of<\/em> {items in the text as matter [substantiates] whatever comes to exist as form}.  Walton’s objective is to comprehend what the “whatever” must be<\/em> in terms of ancient Near East civilization<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
