niche<sub>1b<\/sub>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, {the person as matter [substantiating] the narod space as form}<sub>2a<\/sub>&nbsp;could be an adequate description for&nbsp;<em>an actuality independent of the adapting species<sub>2a<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;(at least, as far as academic anthropologists are concerned).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0098 Perhaps,&nbsp;<em>one or the other two-level interscope<\/em>&nbsp;may be tweaked, so&nbsp;<em>the narod subject<\/em>&nbsp;belongs to the&nbsp;<em>content level<\/em>and&nbsp;<em>anthropology<\/em>&nbsp;belongs to&nbsp;<em>the situation level<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide27-4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide27-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10283\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide27-4.png 600w, https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide27-4-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>0099 Does this resolve anything?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For niche construction, the adaptation within a species<sub>2b<\/sub>&nbsp;introduces a normal context<sub>3a<\/sub>&nbsp;and potential<sub>1a<\/sub>&nbsp;to the actuality independent of the adapting species<sub>2a<\/sub>.&nbsp;&nbsp;This may substantially change the actuality<sub>2a<\/sub>.&nbsp;&nbsp;For beavers, a fast moving stream<sub>2a<\/sub>&nbsp;becomes a glen<sub>2a<\/sub>&nbsp;in the normal context of a dam<sub>3a<\/sub>&nbsp;operating on the potential of blocking the flow of water<sub>1a<\/sub>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the recording of communal&#8230; er&#8230; narodal cognitive spaces<sub>2b<\/sub>, the work of the enthnographer<sub>2b<\/sub>&nbsp;does not introduce a normal context<sub>3a<\/sub>&nbsp;and potential<sub>1a<\/sub>&nbsp;to the dyad, {persons as matter [substance] narod as form}<sub>2a<\/sub>.&nbsp;&nbsp;Unless of course, something goes horribly wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0100 Instead, the subject community<sub>3a<\/sub>&nbsp;and its potential of communal living<sub>1a<\/sub>&nbsp;serve as the normal context<sub>3a<\/sub>&nbsp;and the potential<sub>1a<\/sub>&nbsp;for the narod<sub>2a<\/sub>.&nbsp;&nbsp;In other words, at first sight, the narod<sub>2a<\/sub>&nbsp;is&nbsp;<em>an actuality independent of the enthnographer<sub>2a<\/sub><\/em>in the same fashion as the darwinian schema.&nbsp;&nbsp;Also, the narod&#8217;s normal context<sub>3a<\/sub>&nbsp;and potential<sub>1a<\/sub>&nbsp;are taken for granted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0101 So, is the subject narod<sub>2a<\/sub>&nbsp;comparable to cows<sub>2a<\/sub>&nbsp;who can be milked for their cognitive spaces<sub>1b<\/sub>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If so then the following implications apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the case of the subject society<sub>2a<\/sub>, the narod<sub>2a<\/sub>&nbsp;becomes domesticated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the case of the ethnographer<sub>2a<\/sub>, the discipline of anthropology<sub>2a<\/sub>&nbsp;becomes entangled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0102 The implications for both anthropology and human evolutionary theory are profound.&nbsp;&nbsp;Here is a comparison, pertinent to&nbsp;<em>our current Lebenswelt,<\/em>&nbsp;that may be in operation in&nbsp;<em>the Lebenswelt that we evolved in<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0103 For&nbsp;<em>our current Lebenswelt,<\/em>&nbsp;we can look for parallels in history.&nbsp;&nbsp;What historical figures are like ethnographers.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Christian missionary comes to mind.&nbsp;&nbsp;So does Louis Althusser&#8217;s concept of &#8220;interpellation&#8221;.&nbsp;&nbsp;Oh, lest I forget, what about the ten oxherding pictures in Zen?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For&nbsp;<em>the Lebenswelt that we evolved in,<\/em>&nbsp;I recall Dugin&#8217;s Greimas square, now relabeled for one of the key distinctions between&nbsp;<em>who we are<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>who we evolved to be<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide28-4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide28-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10284\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide28-4.png 600w, https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide28-4-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>0104 The narod, the traditional society in&nbsp;<em>our current Lebenswelt,<\/em>&nbsp;is the subject of ethnographic inquiry.&nbsp;&nbsp;That traditional society may arise spontaneously within a people (as expected for civic society) or may come out of the mists of time.&nbsp;&nbsp;Either way, civilized people do not have an incentive to rope them in, so they maintain their traditional pre-political ways.&nbsp;&nbsp;The narod is the raw material that gets fashioned, through institutions and their theological and political theories, into a people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0105 The ethnographer comes from the people.&nbsp;&nbsp;Each people, including those belonging to the discipline of anthropology, contrasts with the various political theories that interpellate and organize them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0106 It makes me wonder, &#8220;What motivates ethnographic research?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The narod may have labor and social specializations, but that is nothing compared to a people.&nbsp;&nbsp;Theological and political unity permit incredible specializations.&nbsp;&nbsp;These are the sources of wealth (labor) and power (social), which is the subject of inquiry in&nbsp;<em>Looking at Slavoj Zizek&#8217;s Book (2024) &#8220;Christian Atheism&#8221;<\/em>, serialized in Razie Mah&#8217;s blog for August 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0107 But, what about&nbsp;<em>the Lebenswelt that we evolved in?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Isn&#8217;t that where&nbsp;<em>the adaptation that supports domestication and entanglement<\/em>&nbsp;evolves?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oh yes, according to Alexander Dugin, the ethnos is&nbsp;<em>what the narod can never return to<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>0094 Section four is titled, &#8220;&#8216;Cultural Complexity&#8217;
