joke<\/em>&nbsp;reveals that&nbsp;<em>my official consciousness<\/em>&nbsp;(B) and&nbsp;<em>my private consciousness<\/em>&nbsp;(D) are not contrasts, but are (weirdly) intrinsic to&nbsp;<em>my Russian identity<sub>3a<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;(A) and&nbsp;<em>my Russian will<sub>1a<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;(C), respectively.&nbsp;&nbsp;They are intensions, according to the Soviet regime and the Marxist denkstyle, of&nbsp;<em>what I am supposed to say<sub>2a<\/sub>&nbsp;<\/em>and what&nbsp;<em>I am supposed to think<sub>2a<\/sub><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide18-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>0807 Indeed, the dyad of {my voice<sub>2aom<\/sub>&nbsp;[substantiating] my official consciousness<sub>2af<\/sub>} (B) depicts the &#8220;mental geography of the Soviet regime&#8221;, that substantiates Soviet&#8230; er&#8230; Russian identity<sub>3a<\/sub>&nbsp;(A) and Russian will<sub>1a<\/sub>&nbsp;(C).&nbsp;&nbsp;In effect, B is&nbsp;<em>official Marxist imagery<sub>2aom<\/sub><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following figure depicts&nbsp;<em>the elements of the above Greimas square as a confounding<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide19-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide19-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10127\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It makes me wonder about the nature of the Greimas square.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0808&nbsp;<em>The essence<\/em>&nbsp;should be&nbsp;<em>substantiated official consciousness<sub>2af<\/sub><\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;But, since the Russian has both an identity<sub>3a<\/sub>&nbsp;(A) and will<sub>1a<\/sub>&nbsp;(C), and since identity<sub>3a<\/sub>&nbsp;(A) associates to&nbsp;<em>official consciousness<sub>2af<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;(B) and will<sub>1a<\/sub>&nbsp;(C) associates to&nbsp;<em>private consciousness<sub>2af<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;(D), then&nbsp;<em>a freakish doubling of consciousness<\/em>&nbsp;occurs when&nbsp;<em>I think<sub>2aem<\/sub><\/em>&nbsp;(D).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>0809 Now, this type of dualism, as funny as it appears, my also have been at play&#8230; quite literally&#8230; in medieval diglossia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Boris Uspenskij describes this phenomenon, where Church Slavonic language<sub>2a<\/sub>&nbsp;(which would go with B) substantiates Russian literary language<sub>bm<\/sub>&nbsp;(which would go with both A (Orthodox identity<sub>3a<\/sub>) and C (Russian will<sub>1a<\/sub>)) and entangles Russian wit<sub>2aem<\/sub>&nbsp;(which goes with D).&nbsp;&nbsp;If the literary text<sub>2bf<\/sub>&nbsp;is synonymous with wit<sub>2a<\/sub>&nbsp;(what I think<sub>2aom<\/sub>&nbsp;D), then Russian civilization is much more&#8230; um&#8230; hilarious than western Europeans are willing to admit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.raziemah.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Slide20-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" to official consciousness) and the somewhat off-kilter theology-oriented Gregorian calendar (which appeals to private consciousness), leading to questions about whether one can celebrate New Years if
